PanARMENIAN.Net - A group of Iranian citizens intends to hold a protest march in Yerevan against the Iranian government. Yerevan City Hall confirmed that organizers have submitted the required notification, according to Pastinfo.
The application was signed by Iranian citizen Seyedmasoud Taheri. "I wish to organize a peaceful march in Yerevan in support of the revolution currently underway in Iran against the Islamic Republic's regime," the application reads.
The protest is expected to include over 100 participants and feature loudspeakers, banners, flags, and slogans. It is scheduled for January 24 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, starting near the National Assembly, proceeding along Baghramyan Avenue, Mashtots Avenue, Amiryan Street, and ending near the Government Building on Republic Square.
Protests have been occurring for some time near the Iranian Embassy in Yerevan, prompting complaints from Tehran. On January 14, Iran's ambassador to Armenia, Khalil Shirgholami, sharply criticized these activities, saying: "Armenia is turning into a base for forces hostile to Iran."
