The Intelligence Ministry's office in Sistan and Balouchestan said in a statement that the three arrestees were involved in disseminating classified information and documents.
The prosecutor general of the province announced at a press conference on Tuesday that the arrestees had plans to assassinate Iranian nuclear scientists.
Mahdi Shamsabadi said the Mossad operatives have been arrested in a complicated intelligence operation and after 8 months of careful monitoring activities.
Ample evidence has been gathered against them, in such a way that they did not make any objection when a warrant for their arrest was issued, he added.
Shamsabadi noted that some members of the ring were arrested in Sistan and Balouchestan, while a number of other members and operatives have been captured outside the province.
"The defendants have confessed that some of them had been in direct contact with Mossad officers," he stated.
