MANAMA -- Bahrain and Israel signed on Sunday a series of key agreements covering bilateral relations, agriculture, trade, civil aviation, telecommunications and financial services, state Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Among the historic deals signed in Bahrain's capital Manama was a Joint Communique on Establishment of Diplomatic, Peaceful and Friendly Relations between the two countries, BNA said. (Bahrain-Israel-Formal Ties)

ALGIERS -- Algerian Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad has praised the Chinese firms in Algeria for making new contribution to Chinese-Algerian friendship.

Djerad made the remarks on Saturday while attending the inauguration and handover ceremony of the Public Engineering Technology School which was assisted by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) Algeria in the province of Djelfa, 300 km south of Algiers. TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Ministry earlier on Sunday released a statement on the termination of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) arms restrictions and travel ban, saying the "definitive and unconditional" termination requires no new resolution.

"As of today, all restrictions on the transfer of arms, related activities and financial services to and from the Islamic Republic of Iran, and all prohibitions regarding the entry into or transit through territories of the UN member states previously imposed on a number of Iranian citizens and military officials, are all automatically terminated," the statement read. ADEN, Yemen -- Pro-government Yemeni forces on Sunday seized key areas from Houthi grip following intense armed confrontations in the country's southern province of Dhalea, a military official told Xinhua.

According to the local military official who preferred to remain anonymous, "the joint pro-government forces launched a large military operation against the Houthi rebels in the northern areas of Dhalea." (Yemen-Houthi)
