SAN FRANCISCO -- Intel Corporation on Tuesday announced the appointment of Safroadu (Saf) Yeboah-Amankwah as senior vice president and chief strategy officer, effective Nov. 1.
Yeboah-Amankwah will be responsible for the Global Strategy Office, including Intel Capital, and will work with the executive team on developing and driving growth-oriented strategies. Yeboah-Amankwah will report to CEO Bob Swan, the announcement said. (US-Intel-Executive)

TEHRAN -- Iran's army spokesman said the country will "definitely" cooperate in strengthening Syria's air defense, as agreed by both countries in July, semi-official Fars news agency reported on Tuesday.
"During a recent visit to Syria by Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces (Mohammad Hossein Baqeri), it was decided that the country's air defense be strengthened at the demand of the Syrian government," Iranian Armed Forces spokesman Abolfazl Shekarchi said in a state TV program. STOCKHOLM -- There will be no traditional Nobel Awarding Ceremony in Stockholm this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, Swedish media reported on Tuesday.
The Nobel Foundation's Executive Director Lars Heikensten was quoted by the Swedish Television on Tuesday as saying that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation had decided to cancel the award ceremony with everyone gathered on site.
