<p>MEXICO CITY, Mexico - Mexican police are leaving no stone unturned in the search for gunmen who mass murdered more than a dozen people at a family party on Friday night.</p><p>The shootings occurred in the city of Minatitlan in the southeastern Mexican state of Veracruz.</p><p>The death toll on the night was 13 which included a child, five women, and 7 men.</p><p>Four other people were wounded in the attack.</p><p>The motivation behind the attack remains unclear, although it is understood the gunmen were seeking a Minatitlan bar owner by the name of 'El Beky.'</p><p>"Federal and state forces have deployed a strong search and capture operation of those responsible for the events," Gutierrez Maldonado, the secretary of public security in Veracruz state, said in a tweet posted on Saturday.</p><p>Veracruz state Gov. Cuitlahuac García called authorities together for an emergency meeting to address the response.</p><p>Minatitlan is located 315 miles (507 kilometers) southeast of Mexico City.</p><p> </p>
